anything else to worry about losing.??.Ihave just put the charger on the battery and its not quite fully charged so i,m going to see how i go when its topped up after all i have only had the message flash up the once but i like to be on top of things. Thanks

Now i,m lost
A 9V PP3 battery (square ones with terminals on top) will provide enough voltage to keep radio codes, etc. The diode acts like a one-way valve to prevent the car battery from trying to charge it while it's still connected.

I suspect the device on ebay is just that, with some extra flashy lights. Note they don't even include a battery!

Any old 12V battery will do the job - what about a jump-start pack or even jump leads across from another car?

No radio code in the factory radio to worry about.
Well thats battery fully charged see how it goes from here.Something else i noticed while i was putting the charger away was that the car was automatically locking its self every 60 seconds.Itried it several times and everytime i unlocked it it locked itself up on 60 seconds.Nothing to worry about i know but i,m just wondering if this is normal when messing with battery or have i hit a button on the dash without knowing it ????
