exactly. thats how i diagnosed it. as EVERYONE knows... or doesent because its rivet counting stuff, 4th gear on an LT77 is direct drive i.e. input locks to output and drive transmits straight through bypassing the layshaft

I've got standard height HD suspension on mine, there seems to be loads of space in the arches for bigger tyres, got 265/75 at the moment, really tempted to go for 315/75's next

I am going to Harper in just over a years time so I've seen all your vids on you-tube, and I've done a fair bit of seatching as well (orvd btw)

Have you still got a student's garage at HA? I spent way too much time in there doing engine swaps etc on my old Landies and Mk2 Escorts when I should have been enjoying the student bar (back in the early 90's

) . We used to have a rally club too doing night-navigation rallies on the back lanes - flippin great fun.

When I went there there was an Armoured personel carrier (APC) with a flat tyre! Around the back by the Ford with one floatation tyre and one crop tyre... I remember that bit...
