Hello – My first post on here so please go easy on me :)

I have a 99 P38 Range Rover 2.5DSE that has served me well during my first 12 months of ownership, from what I can see from looking on the internet my Range Rover is one of the lower spec models so I started looking into a few small upgrades to treat it for passing its MOT without any advisories. I purchased a 96 Autobiography model as a donor car (MOT Failure + Air Fault) and have successfully swapped over the following parts:

Wheels
Sidesteps
Bull Bars / Spot Lights
Headlight protection things
Electric Seats
Tinted Glass
Wood Trim
A few small electrical upgrades such as interior lights etc

Before I send the Autobiography off to the scrap yard I was looking at swapping over the Harman Kardon Sound System + Sub + Auto-changer – The problem is the wiring seems totally different in all the doors and at the back of the headunit – So I suppose what I am asking is can it be swapped over and if so is it easier to also take the older headunit from the 96 car? Does all the door wiring need swapping? I have looked around for a wiring adaptor kit but can’t find anything obvious.

Any help appreciated.

+1 and the Harmon Kardon is just a fancy name for something that's not very special. Fit a good aftermarket head unit, you can even get one with a flip out SatNav screen if that sort of thing floats your boat.

The top of the range HK system in mine is superb. But to be fair i am not a sound system expert. ;)
