hard fault v's soft fault

Took her in cause she was being temperamental....sometimes the main beam works others it doesn't. Then I can be driving along and the comp flashes up telling me to check my side lights....not got any bloody lights on at the time though!!!
Garage guy changed the bulb...that didn't work £40.00
Then he changed the charger unit...that didn't work £200.00!
He say's we need a new unit cause the charge isn't getting through to the bulb and it was apparently damp inside!!!
Just going to take her to A1 in Bury now!

£40 to change a bulb :eek: what ya got in there xenon HID units??

Halfords will fit a noo bulb for a couple of quid :eek: On another note if a garage does work to rectify a fault and the work they do doesn't rectify the fault Then you shouldn't be paying them for doing something wrong If the changed a part and it didn't cure the problem then the original part probably worked fine. So why would you pay them to change it??

Good point!...I'm going to have to send the hubby in...me thinks they are taking the **** cause I is Blonde!!!!!!!

It's a halogen bulb for sure........I think..lol! :eek:

Actually just found out they are Xenon....is that supposed to make them so much more expensive to change??
