You can leave the prop on Pete, if it moves in any way Othe than clockwise or anti, then the bearing behind the flange is booggarrd!

I know its of no use to you @pete12345 but there are times when I and probably one or two other members on here wished we lived a bit nearer to give you a hand, cant help thinking tho if it came out it should go back in.
I hole heartedly agree with going around to help. :D it's fair run fir me and I'll need to justify it at the moment with the police if they pull me

But that wouldn’t affect getting the shaft in as it’s held on different bearings???

That’s what I thought about it going back in but it was a bit of a **** to get out and it came out connected to the hub but the end of the splines didn’t look to bad

I will try that next weekend mark as soon as get home I’ve any movement refurb diff will have to be ordered

I have been reading this and can’t work out why you are having a problem, so haven’t said anything....But

The splines don’t look twisted but pics not brilliant. Did you use the hubs weight or an ammer to take it out?

Once it’s located it should slide in (we all know that) and you have wiggled,(again always something for the neighbours to giggle at:)).
But have you tried to remove it a bit and turn, try again, repeat till you have wiggled and turn all the way round?

it’s not a sexual thing and any that think it is are pervs;).
