gutted td4 nightmare

Id like just to say thanks for all the help and advice on here and via PM's with my Hippo which with its new fuel pump new battery and a few other bits and bobs is now running as it should, has gone up in my estimation,if in a few days it is still behaving itself i will never compare it to the old 1.8xei i had which frankly i wish id never laid eyes on lol.Im getting rather fond of my plum coloured Hippo and hope it continues.And yes i still hanker after a Disco again but my Hippo she aint that bad.

Check your alternator again. As previously stated, even with a duff battery your charging level from alternator should have been around 14Volts not 11.5! A new battery may hide this issue, though its true enough that after a boost charge yr old battery should have coped much better.

I had a Disco too and though I miss the ground clearance off road, the hippo is a lovely car and a capable mud plugger to boot
