Where abouts are you in California? I was born in Culver City and lived in Venice and Thousand Oaks for awhile. I left when I was young and haven't been back in over 20 years!!

I have a bit more than that.
I started shooting when I was 5 in the Mojave Desert, taught by a father who was a Marine.Nice. We gotta a gun porn thread going on here? My So Cal sailing buddies and I have hosted a lot of visiting Brits, Canukians and Ozzies over the years for some recreational shooting. Nothing gives me more pleasure than seeing the looks on an Ozzie's face after shooting some of our evil guns. Specially the Remington 8, the SVT, the old FN Browning, the sporterized Arisaka 98....or even our 'Gill Guns'. Good times.....

I'm a fan of Russkie arms. I'd like to run that SVT. And the Arisaka is cool. One of the strongest actions produced in those days.

I have a soft spot for those Mossy bolt actions. They aren't for everyone, but they last forever. I may or may not have a few of the others as well.
