If ever green laning down my way it helps if you have a red dragon sticker in your window. personally I dont bother as I can speak basic welsh which counts for the same (LOVE this country but I am English)
Its not so much the ramblers round here but the landowners (farmers).
I think that previous green laners round here must have earned a bad reputation and seem to have really ****ed them off but also some of them are basically just the welsh equivalent of Americas rednecks - very rascist/nationalistic uneducated uncultured never left the goldfish bowl they were concieved in and VERY anti English (when asked why they will always struggle for an answer) and a little bit of welsh can go a very long way to getting you out of the ****. Your prob ok if German/French/Irish/Scottish etc and basically not English - hard to believe pockets like this still exist in 21st century Great Briatain but its true the gene pool in some parts round here is still very shallow.
I know of one local green lane that no one can go down because the farmer whos a tw@t has chained all the gates and made it impossible to do and if he catches you anywhere near he goes mental.
A farm hand I know has told me that his boss caught a 4x4 on his land (tresspassing) ****ing around and taunting him thinking he would never get caught so he got in his JCB Fast track front forks still attached, chased the fella through the field, the fella got through a gate and closed it behind him to slow down the fast track and the farmer just drove straight through the gate kept going with gate now attached to the front straight into the 4x4 (with the bloke in it

) and write it off!
So please remember gentlemen if you are down my way a little red sticker (picked up at any petrol station in Wales for £1.50) can go a long way, oh and if you see a farmer in a fast track - Dont **** him off!
PS sorry to kinda hijack your post just read the "national forrest sticker" bit and thought I may as well add my two pennies worth in case it helps any of you fellas who venture down my way.
Right off to get my banjo out and watch deliverence with my sistercousin....
