I know about the randomisation of diffs fitted depending on what they had laying around - but I always thought Thor 4.6s were supposed to have four pin diffs front and rear due to the standard fit 4 wheel TC.

That was my assumption. To be fair I seem to remember a thread where someone else assumed that and it turned out his Thor only had a 2 pin diff on the front. The problem with these motors is that you never know who has done "a cheap fix" on it before you get it.

Power is split 50/50, however the rear has slightly less weight on the wheels so maybe they spin more easily making the TC on the rear work harder.
For sure if my diffs fail I will be fitting a LSD as replacements

usually with 4wd system rear has greater weight when you set off or pull hard as the opposite effect of driving the wheel forward is trying to lift car front up

Hi guys I've now got a wheel brace and my wheel does not turn
I've jacked up the car
Put the hand brake on
Put it in neutral
And the wheel doesn't turn

Sadly whilst it can cause other problems and is best changed ASAP it is not the cause of your loss of traction. Think you mentioned being stuck and the front wheels spinning. It is not possible to spin just the front wheels at least one of the rear wheels would also be spinning. That should cause TC to trip in with a lot of clicking. Wheel should turn VERY slowly with moderate pressure applied to wheel brace.

Ow bloody hell. Anyone want to buy a Range Rover.

What will happen if I leave it for a while
Considering I don't use it every day and only use it for the bees once every other week
