Got my P38 - Overfinch (a bit)

I just bought my first P38. In the UK.
It is a 2000 4.6 petrol that has done almost 100,000 miles. It is badged as an Overfinch, and I can see some interior cosmetic changes, a snazzy exhaust and maybe stiffened suspension, but it does not have one of the big American engines.
If anyone knows about the Overfinch updates from that period, I would love to learn more.

OverFinch had so many options to choose. Many peeps brought badges and stuck them on to look like an OF.

Well if yours is 1 of 25 then I suppose that is probably the 630R 6.3-litre Chevrolet V8?

Mine is much more humble - as I said: badges, trim, exhaust. I get the impression they offered a mixed menu of little upgrades, before launching the 630R.

An overfinch with no sat nav? Surprising at least. I thought they always started with top spec?

So maybe someone just stuck on a few extra bits, including the badges.
Although this is a lot of trouble to go to....

Who knows what I bought? But I love it anyway!

They start with whatever they are given to start with.

The list of what you want them to do is very long, some choose a little, some choose alot.
Some just buy the badges and stick them on themselves, so without paperwork its really difficult to know if its real or not.

Mine has all the paperwork and was done from a new vechile (no miles) I have seen a 630R on a 1996 RR, so it can vary widly.

Mine doesnt have the OF badging to the bonnet or tailgate, but has the other badging. Which is very subtle. At first glance mine just looks like standard TBH

Is yours an Autobiograpy? check for any plates on the slam panel.

It looks nice though.

It’s got the same interior as OPs - the carpet and piped leather. Very sharp on the eyes. Obviously a 630R. I put in a cheeky bid but 4K weren’t gonna go far

not even I would put that on coils

Why do you have a bag on the side by your leg?? emergency midget gem stash?remember you showing us the fancy desks you have in the back, it didn’t have them

It has storage (bags) either side of the tunnel, plus little pockets in the front of the seat base. Handy to put your wallet in so you don’t sit lopsided

No my table is for the passenger, note the extended passenger armrest and no front glovebox.

Will check for any stashed midgets tomorrow

The OPs piped seats are a standard for some RRs but look closer there’s a difference to mine

.

As I said you can call it an OF by having a couple of grands worth of work (as per video ^^). Or you can spend the best part of 50k + a RR and get a real 1, that’s 2001 prices

Yes.

It’s both fobs on the key ring (sales pic) and it’s an original radio(cassette
