P38A Glowplug timer/ temp sensor

This one, they come on every time regardless of engine temp, and when I got it I was told 'always wait 'till the glow plug light goes off before starting' Has the timing of glows been messed with? Is this a dodgy hot start fix? And can I change it back and then do the FIP / Modulation adjustment for hot starting?

Sounds like the hotfix. I wouldn't worry about it. It just tricks the ECU into thinking the temperature is cold so it thinks it is cold-starting every time. It'll have a timer so it switches the temperature to the real reading after 10 seconds or so.

If it has a hot start fix, it may or may not have a timer. Best remove it and do the modulation, I can give you an easy method of doing the modulation if you have diagnostics.
