No reason as yet to suppose they would refuse to move it.

And even if it did become a police matter, I doubt if it would be high on their list of priorities.
Is there a possibility where the car is parked of that being a start finish line? As in a property line and that foot path or what ever it is ends there in his direction of travel?

It'd be a bit of a pointless right of way if you couldn't enter or leave it.

We do have a fair few dead end BOATs though, usually because they been cut off by some project such as new roads and nobody kicked up during consultation so nobody bothered to reroute it

One of the reasons why organisations like GLASS are so important.

No, the car is actually on what's marked as a Byway ..

Quite few down here are dead ends just because no-one bothered to register that they had driven one section of it the past.
You can see it quite clearly on maps, ancient routes where one long piece is only a bridleway, just because nobody motorised stood up to be counted,
But that is not the case on the Byway in question, as clearly shown by Pauls map, and the visual evidence of the pic.

I did see 1 rather house with like a mini farm for sale 3-4 years ago that had a byway end at there property line. Was a note in the sales description saying there has been issues with some people not understanding it ended there. That was why I asked a question. Also how up to date are them maps like Paul posted above?

They're not necessarily up to date which is why it's important to double check the Council's Definitive map which is what the OP said they did.

OS maps are a useful guide but not proof of a right of way.

The electronic Wiltshire definitive map is really useful. Quite often ROW get subjected to voluntary restraint, I'd always consult it prior to going out- my Mil Map of SPTA is probably well out of date!

Cornwall Council inerractive map is quite good too, it isn't the definitive map, but regularly updated from it.

So what is it then? the color code don't match with the pinkish color of where the the arrow/pointer is?

The arrow is of no consequence in this pic, I'm referring to the Byway in Brown (Why I didn't crop out the KEY to the left) marked over the identical map portion I posted ....

Probably because you didn't expect to be quizzed by someone with no experience of the situation on the ground! ;)
