Getting back on with my project again. Should I paint galv chassis. Opinions please?

Hi all. After a mad 18 months I’m finally getting to the point of starting my rebuild from where I left off which was rolling chassis. Now my question to you party is would you paint your galv chassis. I did like it as is but I’m now changing my mind as it’s a bit in your face. What do you guys think out there and why would you choose that option.
 
As @Flossie , unpainted galved I always think is a come on to the rogues.

Plus I also think using the right paint helps protect it even more.

and finally, you get to choose a colour...

I've always preferred the original style black finish personally. As most galvanized chassis are not stamped with a chassis number, this makes them a very easy (and obvious) target for ringing. Don't forget to etch the surface with T-wash and prime before painting.

Thanks :D It's not as grey as it was in that pic it's got a green roof and front doors and a silver rear door lol but when I get the time it will be getting reprayed in original grey colour just not this year don't want strip it 3 years in a row lol :)
 
Definitely paint it. I didn't paint mine, and am now looking at wanting to to give it a bit more protection and it is going to be far more difficult to paint now than when it was a bare chassis.
 
I painted mine with black waxoyl, I give it a fresh coat every few years, which is very easy and quick once the first coat is on. I did all the axle, suspension and steering bits as well, all the rubber dust covers on trackrod ends etc are still in perfect condition as well, not one has any sign of drying or cracking after a light coating of waxoyl. Brake pipes also get a light coating.
 
Leave it! I personally like the look of bare galv, and it does dull over time...looks very utilitarian galv colour too! :)

Paint it. It will also extend its life. Galv is not forever. A really good paint job on top of the galv and kept in good order will mean the zinc doesn't need to do anything for a long time.
