The fluid cooler has a thermostatic valve which is opened by transmission fluid temperature. The thermostatic valve
is opened at a transmission fluid temperature of between 91 and 95°C (196 and 203°F) and allows engine coolant to
flow through the fluid cooler.
Unless its going into cooling strategy where it will redline every gear then change even on part throttle, why are you investigating the cooler btw.?[/QUOTE
No gears when warm. Other threads suggest cooler blocked. Common problem by all accounts

Correct and sometimes it's best to ask the obvious.There are no silly questions where LR's are concerned
