Evening!
Had a galv bulkhead supplied and not impressed…

Some areas (which will be on display) are as rough as a bears a**e!
Here’s a pic below (this area won’t be on show but to show extent)

Secondly the welding on the a-pillar….If I’d have repaired it, I’d expect to see welds but not a new panel as expected a complete pressed section?

There’s bits ground off here and there- top lip where windscreen panel sits, random sections which to me, seems completely counterintuitive of a galv bulkhead, re-exposing the steel.

Anyone else had these problems? Can anyone recommend a good bulkhead? 😔

Cheers
Rosie

Hello pal. That does look a wee bit rough. You’ll need to spend a lot of time preparing that prior to painting but it’ll come round. I bought a shielder bulkhead and have to say I thought the quality was good and I did not need to make any changes to it for my 300tdi 90. Straight on and all original parts fitted back on quite the thing. I did spend a lot of time prepping it before paint though. This part took a ton of time. It’s the only bulkhead I’ve ever changed so can’t really see much about other makes. I’m sure you’ll get it sorted out..bit of work it’ll look fine. All the best with your rebuild. P.S- like the 10 series ford in your workshop. I used to have a Gen 3 8210…mint…I was a fool to sell it on😭
