Can you just imagine for one second a woman wif a car that not only goes back and forwards but up as well. FFS, oops there's the garage roof away again.

And it wud have to have a hover capacity, think that one out fur yerself!!
 
I'd love a hover car but it would have its problems:

1) You'd have gippos landing on your roof to steal your slates
2) You'd have cigarette butts and McDonalds wrappers in your garden that people have thrown out of their windows
3) You could just saunter over rocks and green lanes as opposed to crawling over them and challenging your mates.

The good bits are that there would be less traffic on the roads so you could still use your landy, fuel prices would decrease and you could technically drive to America or europe, making quick fuel boost or re-charge stops on ocean fuel and diner / motel platforms.

Must admit never had the urge to crawl under a hover craft when it were hovering, aint that dangerous. Supose yer could dig a hole in the sand and get the captain to hover over yer if yer coorious coz ah dunt think there is any. And seing yoor the admisbastratoor I fink it's yer duty ter find out for certain coz it's important for pos's project.

Let's have a vote for a new admisabastratoor coz slobs about ter get munched.

Ah tried but the fookin barrel is too long and ah cant reach the trigger. Ah wud make sumut up but I'm too busy trying to make a log splitter out of a high lift and makin a coont orf it, and it's a dangerous fooker aswell.

You ever seen one used like that??, my logs are discs 2ft in dia and a foot thick, I tried boltin a wedge onto where the base went but the landie aint heavy enough, whole fookin mornins wurk aswel.
