I'm a bit lost. I have a 1999 p38 2.5 dse with a broken fuel flap switch. VIN starts with XA. I find a lot of switches with part number AMR3388 which is up until and including VIN to WA. From XA they say I need part YUG102490 which is discontinued and i can't find anywhere.

Am I fine to use AMR3388 or will it not work? Visually on pictures I don't really see a difference.

Maybe get one off eBay from a scrapper? Only issue is posting to the EU can be a bit hit and miss these days.

Apart from the UK postal strikes, getting parts from the UK has settled down a bit, still have to pay duty & French VAT but no UK VAT so not too bad. Belgium may be different but the rules are EU wide so should be the same.

Yes indeed, same rules here in Belgium! I'll first try to source a scrapper locally, don't want to pay VAT on 2nd hand things..
