Dont bother trying to press the old bushes out run a drill bit through the bush a couple of times just catching the inside of plastic outer and you should be able to collapse the outer and hook them out with a screw driver.

I bought a hydraulic press - 6 tons.
I thought it would make it totally relaxed. won't it work?

When i did mine it took significantly more effort to get the old ones out. Lots of cutting, drilling and hammering with a big chisel

Good, I am motivated. I have cleaned the arm a little. I'll paint it later.
This is how I imagined my action. Will it work? somehow my press seems puny.

Doesn't the adapter go the other way up? You want to press on the edge, not the middle

I also used the "drill near to the plastic outer method". Much easier than trying to press the old bushes out.

You will definitely need either the proper tool, or several jubilie clamps & the taper bearing for the new bushes.

That's not a press tool. It looks like its from a brake wind back kit ?

yes, I also have the right adapter with a hole in the middle. It is a simple press for 100 EUR.
Has anyone ever tried a 6 ton press?

Unbelievable!
that worked wonderfully with the press. It took less than 2 minutes and the bushes were out.
I thought too much about it.
