Hello:) Got a strange one. The front right of my disco 2 dips almost to the wheel. started out of the blue on friday. i jacked it up to get under the car to have a look around, couldnt see anything obvious wrong, so i took the pressure off the jack and tadaaa it had fixed its self. Bit miffed so i took her out, threw her round corners and over every speed bump i could find, and all was well. 24 hours later, went out and the front right dipped again. got home jacked it up, let it down and fixed again.
Standard road springs and shocks on both sides at the front. springs are old, but nothing flagged up on last MOT 4 months ago. drop links are in tact.

Any ideas? im lost on this one.

Could just be old shocks??
Changed mine just before MOT because NS was sitting lower than OS? When removed had a play on both and the NS was weaker??

James martin - i used the jack points on the chasis.
Badger - the shocks are about 7 years old, land rover original parts that were replaced when the ACE was taken out. i have a set of terrafirmas in the garage that have been on my list to replace for about 6 months along with the drop links.

i have had another good poke around under front of the car and the springs are a bit manky, but still in tact. its just weird that after it dips, i get it up on a jack, there is a creaking sound, then a hiss, then i get it back on the ground again and its fixed until about 10 minutes after i drive it round again.
there is no air on the front suspension, so......im guessing the hiss and creak is the shock. probably........
 
In my case also the right side was a bit down (about 15-20mm) wich was solve by changing springs and shocks.
I had 2" lift and decided to remove it so I bought new shocks and standard springs. The first choice (KYB and Monroe) resulted the above issue (car was on min level and right side even more down).
I was told that Monroes are too soft and also recognised that the KYB springs are for pre-facelift model, so decided to change.
Now I have the right springs and Bilstein shocks. Car sits now on upper side of spec. and evenly on both sides.
 
Hi guys. update. Having replaced the front springs, shocks and drop links, i was miffed to find the same problem of the front right dip was still there. i drove it on to level ground jacked it up a little on the front right and went poking around. after about 10 minutes i found the rear left air bag was not deflating and was rock solid, pushing the back left all the way up which was pushing the front right down............before i go and pay a load of cash to a mech to run diagnostics, has anyone experienced this? as far as i can tell its either got to be a part of the compressor, the ride height sensor or the air bag assembly its self. any advice would be great as this is driving me up the wall. Both air bags were changed for new dunlops 1 year and 7 months ago.

Another update! Turns out it was the ride height sensors. left one had developed a problem and was causing the left air to stay fully inflated all the time which was pushing the front right down. swapped them over and problem solved. now on to change the rest of the suspension over........
