I think that is the correct description. They have already been replaced under warranty but are rusty again. They always used to be chrome plated and never any bother. Anyone know where I can buy chrome ones?

Thanks

Mike

As I live by the sea I copied turbomans idea and covered the new ones in black ... Looks pretty mean if you use red but looks tidy a lot better than rust

The chrome is pretty **** quality, so once its gone a bit rusty it is best to paint them, I wait until there is a bit of surface rust so the paint takes nicely.

I thought the red looked good, red- rimmed eyes to match the drivers ;):D

Price is about £25 for a pair.

I have had them on my current 90 for the past 15-years, removed them at the weekend (to fit the new Nolden LED headlights) and the rings polished up like new.
When I bought the bowls they came as standard with SS rings but looking at the current adverts they all refer to chrome rings. That said, £25 for a pair of SS rings has to be good value (TMD do them PC black if you don't want the SS showing) .

That does seem like pretty good value! :) as you say they should last virtually for ever. I have wipac lights, and the later plastic light bowls, so the rims are about the only thing in that area that can corrode now! :D
