dont think so - I've removed the 2 rear seats out the back of my TD5 - easy to do - just a coupla bolts, but I think you'll find the fittings are complelely different ( disco 1 face inwards, while disco II face forwards, ) I may be wrong, but I dont think the two are interchangeable.

happy bufday - dint know it was yorn - drinks on yu tonite in the Gaylander?

that link dont answer the Q - i wanna put front facing seats in a disco fur the kids. i assume its the fixing points which mite cause a prob - but if the chassis is the same, then its a case of gettin the fixing points fixed (if yu know wot i mean).

was 3 days ago - sorry I only buy the drinks once every year - on me birthday - so yer too late ;):D

reet - see wot you mean now - in the Td5 there are 2 threaded rods each side that screw into the chassis & then the seats fit onto the rods & bolt on - don't know if the spacings of the rods are the same on both models - can take sum measurements & photo's tonite if it would help

bugger- looks like I've wasted my time with the photo's:(

oh well might as well stick em up ere now I've done em

when I started to take the photo's I though of a few other reasons your idea might not work anyway

1. the fittings in the floor would not match
2. seatbelts in wrong place?
3. head restraints need to be fitted above rear door - I think on the disco 1 the reatraints were built into the seats (again I may be wrong on that)
4. is the disco1 that you want to put the TD5 seats into already a 7 seater? - if not the rear suspension would require upgrading (unless it has the SLS)

So, have you given up on the idea now then ?

thanks for all yo help guys. My daughter is expecting her 4th child and they are looking fur a vehicle which will take 2 adults and 4 kids. its the kids child seats which are the problem. So any seats need to be front facing. Her husband is/was considering a Disco, but prefers the 200/300tdi as being easier for self maintenance than the TD5. Hence the problem.

Any ideas? I have already suggested a mini-bus. it dint go down too well :D
