i reckon a deepender is a bit too - erm - agricultural - and the Espace - cheap to self service?

I see what you're saying, the kids love ours, the missus is quite keen, and as long as you're not in a mad rush to get where you want to go, an ideal large family car.( large family I mean)

Especially regarding all the associated kidstuff you have to lug around, easily adapted aswell.

Espace? Easy to service yourself? Have you ever seen the cambelt on the diesel one? Holy Sh!t, no thanks.

I'd also avoid any of the people carriers where the engines under the floor, not bloody funny either, the Toyota was a noteable ****e also.

We looked at loads of options before buying a TD5, it hasn't been the most reliable motor ever, but it is comfortable and does exactly what it says on the tin. I think we were a bit unlucky with ours as the 'bodge monkeys' had perviously done a head gasket which let us down whilst abroard. Now it's been done right, I've got no complaints. Not the quietest motor ever though.

thanks for all yo help guys. My daughter is expecting her 4th child and they are looking fur a vehicle which will take 2 adults and 4 kids. its the kids child seats which are the problem. So any seats need to be front facing. Her husband is/was considering a Disco, but prefers the 200/300tdi as being easier for self maintenance than the TD5. Hence the problem.

Any ideas? I have already suggested a mini-bus. it dint go down too well :D

Is this for personal or legal reasons? If the latter see my reply in:
Middle seat lap belts and Disco 1 or 2
