Because Father Christmas contacted me the other day when he was reading this thread. He asked if the weather was bad, would I pull his sleigh behind my Freelander. Naturally I agreed to the idea, to help out. He’s prepared to put me on his insurance, and pay for fuel. Also agreed to send round some elves to fit a tow bar.

The red light is to make my Freelander look like Rudolph, pulling the sleigh. We wouldn’t want the little children (and some adults) to realise what was happening. It could damage them, leaving Father Christmas liable for damages and high legal costs when their parents sue him, so they can buy a flat screen tv.

Pleased to announce that Freelander rescuing in Scotland is progressing at full speed - as usual!! :D

Worn clutch due to over 400 hours ah pushin snow. Good effort to the Freelander I say.
 
this is not a new idea , i have been using the freelander fitted with a snow plough for quite a few years now, its very capable of clearing roads and car parks only ever cleared depth of 8 inches, but im sure it could handle more

the plough is made from old rubber conveyer belt fitted to a steel frame, the A frame runs from the front to the rear and is attached to the tow ball, with a couple of links at the front attached to the antiroll bar keeping it in line , works a treat

there is just never enough snow to keep me busy
