Freelander1 central locking

Hi, I'm Colin and was recently given a non running 2003 Freelander. Now running just need a new windscreen for mot. To my dismay when I looked underneath I found it had been converted to two wheel drive ( if you want two wheel drive buy a normal car or a ford ). My only remaining problem is when I use the key fob no doors open I just get a noise from the drivers door and that is it. If I use the key the drivers side doors open but not the passenger side. Anybody got any ideas.
