Hello everyone and sorry for my bad English.
I have starting problem with my Freelander td4 2003 (BMW engine). When i starting engine for first time during the day it starts fine, no matter how cold or hot is outside. But, when i try to start engine for second time, no matter how long engine was working, it need many cranks(longer spins) to start. When starts it runs fine. I noticed three things:
- Glow plugs light is lighting only in case when engine starts for first time during the day.
- When i turn the key in ignition position before starting engine for first time, low pressure fuel pump works and after ten seconds i can hear sound of some relay. I suppose it turn off something, because light of dash clock get brighter.
When i turn the key in ignition position before starting engine for second time(when engine is warm), low pressure fuel pump works but there is no sound of relay.
- When low pressure fuel pump works i can hear rustle (hum) sound from area where is high pressure pump located. Is it normal?
Any advice will be appreciated.
Thank You.
