This started intermittently when I used the indicators. I could hear a brief buzzing from under the dash and the instruments died (apart from the speedo) and the SRS light comes on. Today the dash died (including the speedo) on its own with no prompting from the indicators. It sometimes resets if I restart the engine, other times it doesnt. The indicators work intermittently (ie dont trip the dash) and with no problems when the alarm or hazard button is used. AAARRRRRGGHHHHHH If it wasnt running on lpg id sell it. The faults are starting to tear a hole in my leg never mind my pocket.
Any help much appreciated.

AW crap thats gonna be a bugger to find. Still its better than the 326 quid Evans Halshaw quoted me for the 'im sure its the ccu sir!'

Hi iv just had the same fault with my freelander, i removed the cluster and found no voltage getting to the ignition wire to the cluster. I then removed the trims behind the steering wheel and tested the green wire coming from the ignition switch to the cluster, only read 3v. I then tested the brown wire which supplies the ignition switch which was 12v. Today i replaced the ignition switch and the dash is all back to normal :) the ignition switches are available from landrover for around £50 Good Luck
