Hi there,
I started my car this morning and revs seemed a little sluggish. After a few minutes of warming running the engine I went to drive off and the engine cut out straight away , the car would not even move an inch before it cut out. She started up again, no problems but then when i went to drive away again did the same thing.
The engine management light was on last week for a short half hour or so then went off again.
any suggestions of what is wrong would be gratefully appreciated.
Cheers, Trudi

You will have to tell what car engine year manual auto for anyone to hazard a guess at the problem

Need to get a native American sharman in to see if the poltergeist stuck.
Besides fuel starvation, sensor, accelerate pedal failure not allowing engine increase causing a stall. My guess is it poltergeist

best to get info on what fault codes have been logged.
if not you could be chasing the fault by eliminating parts one by one.
...
mine showed similar symptoms once .. the engine would start and idle ..
but the moment the go-pedal were touched .. it would cut out.
turned out to be a sticking fuel regulator on the hp.fuel pump.

Good Day Everyone

I am experiencing the same on the 2002 Freelander 1 TD4 2.0 Litre Manual

Drive, cuts out, switch off and on at 100km/h and it goes again. Since last Friday not starting.
Tried replacing fuel rail regulator, check all pumps, all are pumping, replaced crank sensor ( cheapie)
Replaced cam sensor

Please help Team. I am desperate.

Best Regards
Gerrit
