Freelander 1 Freelander 1 radio keeps searching

I have RTFM and had a google search but it seems I'm on my own on this one.

I fitted a replacment aerial on christmas eve and managed to get the radio section of my freelander navsystem radio working, however, it keeps flicking between frequencies on every radio station, always between a good one and bad one, then back to a good one. Constantly!

Anyone know how to correct this as it's ruining my shipping forecasts!

The down lead can go iffy after a while. It's not that difficult to swap. I did it a while back. It did replace one on my previous Freelander. It made a slight difference. I fitted a booster to my current FL1. That worked to boost the signal too. It's not great, but better than it was.

Another job to sort when I do the centre console and heater then I think.
