Freebie 1.8 petrol PLEASE READ!

I agree on a bit of good banter, hell thats what makes life fun.....but i cant help but feel it appears to be more than banter on several occasions. Maybe I will have a good one, or maybe a bad one. Ive owned a xantia for 8 years and spent...erm, brake bads, discs and tyres in its entire life. Thats great cheap motoring, but even though i know the rep of the FL, i couldn't hlp but be drawn to it. Isn't that the point of owning a car as you get older you want to love it, not just drive it. I would have been reluctant from day 1 to spend anything on the xantia but i know FL is going to cost me money, a treat to myself to have a hobby and car in one is the way i look at it.

Could have had a Rav 4, or CRV, but lets face it..... I m not a boring grumpy old git yet so the FL was decided upon! Looks, fun, hobby.....what more do i want. As for the bank balance, well, my daughter eats that anyway so an excuse to spend a bit on myself would be nice!

Im not taking it too serously really, but it does get a bit much with some of the comments made IMO. No thread seems to just get positive action recommendations but turns into a war re several other issues.

Must admit I find the attitude of some of the regular members completely anti-freelander (maybe its just to keep a high post count??) and its no wonder so many freelander owners pop in once or twice and go elsewhere.

There are plenty of other forums around some a bit too sanitised and PC now, but if your happy to give it back then join in.

Loadsa freds are a happy mix of banter and advice. Don't let them scare you off Sharpie.

As before Slob I went into great detail to answer your question as to why oils/fluids deteriorate off road more than on...all I asked was why you thought they wouldnt..You obviously think you know better than most and seem to like telling people, so why if thats the case, wont you, in the interest of balanced argument, inform us all:confused:

all i see from you is unedjurcated tripe mixed in with some bollocks you probelly got from thickipedia, am mean how can someone think that changing yer oil at half the recomended interval is a sensible thing to do.

you might like to think you know stuff but from yer posts on here yer dunt know ****,and as am not one fer getting involved in cerebal games with those ill equipe to partake i'll bid yer farewell and hope that one day you'll begin to understand how things work.

Sorry if the bollocks your spouting causes me offence but personally dont take insults well from fooking ****s that are so full of ****e their eyes are brown and breath smells like my dogs arse.

My car, my money, my labour.... thought id explained in detail why (as yer asked) and asked for your opinions why not ... if you aint prepared to answer thats your choice ... not mind games simple debate .... dont try and make me look a fool to cover your own incompetence and ignorance
