Fluid leaking from hub cap

Looks like rimemrbros are just trying to confuse me, all their wheel bearing kits have the same parts in them regardless of the model or axle number specified.

Job done, new CV joint and bearings coming up.

OK folks I've been pretty lazy about getting the wheel off and taking a look, but now in addition to my knocking/tapping under engine braking I'm also getting a pulsing on the brake pedal which seems to be in time.

Anyone want to hazard a guess before I manage to put some time in to pulling the hub assebly etc off.

Cheers

Knackered bearings, 'possibly' a warped drum (or front disc) or worn stub axle?
Have ye checked yer A-frame ball joint, propshafts and uj's for play? Might be the knockin' ye're gettin';)

Well i've got my bearings, CV joint and such, will be starting work on it friday afternoon. Anyone got any hints and tips on the bearing replacement?

Cheers

All done, well sort of, ended up not having the correct CV to put on. The one on there now is part no A09803-052 can someone tell me what part I can use to replace this.

I've now had my hub assembly to bits that many times I could do it in my sleep!

Cheers

Thanks fella, but no that's not much use, I have a 90, I bought an AEU2522P from rimmer bros thinking that was the right part and after fitting my half shaft no longer engaged in the diff and the splines on the end of the stub axle stuck out too far!

For now I'm running on new bearings and the old CV with part number A09803-052 stamped on it.

OK, so now for the next problem, since doing the bearings my swivel housing seems to be leaking. Any suggestions on cause/remedy? Cheers

Swivel housing ball seals sound like they have gone. Greyish drips on the inside of the wheel on the path?

Looks like it's leaking from the bottom of the swivel ball, where thhe seal is on the back of the swivel housing, more practice at removing the hub for me! Just need to find the correct seal now!

Ah'm sayin' nowt seein' as it's a 90!:)

I sense a little sarcasm there :p I found that it's an australian company called hardy spicer that make the part A09803-052 so I've emailed them for some info about my CV.

As for the oil seal I'm thinking I could buy one of each type I find as they're cheap

... take a step back and listen to the advice. Re your latest drip, if it is the seals new seals best but you could always drain the swivel ball joints and replace with one shot grease without stripping down again. It often works. I burst mine off roading last year and it worked fine for me. I will replace if and when I need to strip and replace anything nearby.
Even if you do replace the seals one shot grease is a good option. Oh.... I have a 90 as well :D

It's already brand new swivel grease in there so I think my only choice is new seal, I'm confident in the stripping of my hub now so it's not such a daunting task. Decided I might as well replace the swivel pin bearings while I'm at it too.
