Fitting Oil Pressure and Turbo Boost Gauges

I've got issues with the engine, so fitting the gauges has taken a bit of a back seat.
However, fitted the boost gauge today. (not wired up the light yet) Just thought I'd get the boos pipe connected and see what boost I was getting.
Here's the gauge in place.

Anyway, I'm curious as to what sort of boost pressure people get and, perhaps more importantly, when?
In top gear, driving hard, topping 70mph I get 0.8 bar. If I thrash it in 4th, I can just about push 0.9 bar. It got to 0.7 bar in third, IIRC, when it was revving high enough to change to 4th.
I've read that 1bar max is the norm, but I was expecting to get to that as the revs got quite high in every gear.
Can anyone enlighten me as to the pattern to expect. Cheers.

Evening, neilly. It's plugged in to the back of the inlet manifold, so that's manifold pressure I'm getting.
It's what pressure to expect at what revs that I don't know. It's great how doing something like this opens up a whole new field of stuff you can learn about :)

On mine the gauge is 'T'd into the FIP pipe. On 'private' motorways if I'm pushing it a bit I get 18 PSI (~1.2 bar) but that is at around 80 mph. If I'm bimbling to work at about 60 on a clear road it is generally in the region of 9 / 10 PSI (0.6 BAR). You will generally get a bit lower pressure if you measure at the manifold as there are losses because of the intercooler and other pipework.

Sounds similar then. However, I've got to push mine to get to 70, never mind 80.

Are you measuring speed using GPS, speedos can be quite a bit out if you have changed tyres or got the wrong speedo drive gear in the transfer box (or both)
 
Not today, but I have done on the past. My speedo is about 5mph out. Got to be doing 65 on the clock to actually be doing 60
