Hi,

I am a newbie here but have been a landrover fanatic for sometime, started off by my father-in-laws ex RAF lightweight 8 or so years ago, I am now in a position to spend a couple of grand on an old run about myself but the timing is not great, we are expecting our first child in August!

I am just wondering if you can fit a baby/child seat to a landrover S1/2/3?

Any advice would be gratefully rec'd

Thanks.

You certainly can, though it is much easier with inertia seatbelts.

I converted my LWB truck cab pickup to inertia seatbelts on the outer 3 seat and fitted a static lapbelt in the middle seat. I can now fit the stage 2 car seat in the left hand or middle seat.

You must check that the child seat will fit the landy before you buy it though, as most seats require a 3 way belt to clamp it down. If you are getting a baby travel system where you can remove the baby carrier and fit it and the baby straight into the car you will have to check all the clearances.

We currently use a Maxi-Cosi Priori XP seat for 1 year olds upwards and this clamps into the Landy and VW Polo no problem.
I don't think that the Gracco car seat base for the newborn up to 1 year old car seat would have fitted though.

Hope this helps. Please ask for any more info on this subject and I'll be pleased to try and help, it was a nightmare to try and get right.

Thanks Patman, appreciate the reply.

When I am buying I will keep an eye out for inertia seatbelts.

We have done it a bit backwards, we have already purchased the car seat, so I guess I will have to buy a car around that, rather than visa versa!

We bought the Bebeconfort Creatis, but I guess if it fits into the tiny back seats of our Citroen C3 it should fit into anything!
