fitted alarm

hi all,
ive just takem out an insurance policey with sure term who are using equity star as my underwriter,anyway i got a letter from them asking if my alarm imnboliser is thatchem approved.as i dont know would anybody out there happen to know what landrover actually fitted to there cars.its a 200t di 92 plate i have.

If it was factory fitted tell them just that

Just as cresta above, they will look up the manufactures spec on the alarm.
I've never had any problem with that answer

I've had this problem with idiot insurance call centre staff loads of times. It usually goes something like "What kind of alarm/immobiliser is fitted?" To which I reply "The standard one that Land Rover fitted when they built the vehicle. "But what kind is that?" "I don't know. The standard Land Rover one." But what kind is it?" "It's the original one fitted when the car was built." etc. etc.etc.etc. Then they usually say I'll have to get a certificate and post it to them or I won't be covered for theft and I tell them I just paid 500quid for the vehicle and if it gets nicked it'll hardly be worth the bother of claiming and they just send me the paperwork and that's the end of it. They're a right pain in the fookin arse.
