few probs on new p38

hi all just got my p38 4.6 auto and its been stood for 18 months finaly got it runnig well sort ov it has a few probs
1 when it runs try to put it into drive and nothing in any gear but when you try to out back in park it grinds
2 suspetion wont lift up on any corner
3 windows and mirrors and sunroof wont work can any one shed any light on these probs cheers

First check every fuse and relay.
Can you hear the air suspension pump running?
Fully charged and suitable battery is a must.
Theres a starter for 10

yes brand new battery havent checked any fusses yet took me all day to to get the thing runnig well to a fasion

They just dont like being left sitting for long.Maybe some easy fixes along the way.If the EAS pump runs,leave the door open for 5-10mins to let the pump fill the tank ,then try suspension.Good luck mate,and i'm sure you will get loads of help here.#try the search for common faults at the top of the page,full of info ;)
 
If you have no motion it may be in "transfer neutral" Caused by someone putting a fuse in that isn't meant to be there under the driver's seat. Don't forget the suspension won't do anything unless everything is shut. Is the oil level correct in the gearbox?
 
there was an empty fuse and a mate of mine put one in yesterday will take it out again tomoz and check oil it been stood 18 months so just trying to see if get everything to work and see how much going to cost

Position 11 in fuse box under seat must NOT have a fuse in it unless you are towing the vehicle. It puts transfer box in neutral.
 
Might be an idea if you gave us a clue where you are. There are a few on here who could be bribed (usually cuppas & posh biccies) to come and have a nose.
 
update got running found out airflow meter knackered unblocked a few airpipes that was gunked up put a fuse in fuse box and suspesion lifted straight away but droped about hour later now wont go up again windows and mirrors ar down to apnel near handbrake so air fow and panel sorced boot lock and 2 front door locks to sort out and suspension now gave her a good wash and she come up pretty clean pulled fuse out where my numpty mate put in and got drive now so if anybody has any ideas of few minor probs be gratefull cheers for all advice before as somebody asked i live in oldham manchester if anybody lives around here who knows about these fancies a brew be very gratefull
