Right folks few jobs done today.
Anti roll bar bushes - no more knocks
Both ride height sensors replaced all good disconnected battery no need for calibration.
Egr removed and blanked not sure if any better coz I did a resistance check on my maf and it appears to be shot.
The most noticable job done today replaced whatever gearbox oil I had in with mtf-94 and wow what a difference no crunching gears really light gear change very impressed, amaizing what oil can do I never thought gbox oil was so critical.
Also replaced air filter with a performance filter,
Full oil change in both filters using magnatec oil.


Now only negative is I seem to have a resonating sound I think its coming from the exhaust I never heard it before is this noticable when removing egr, I think its the front flexi joint, also when under load I can hear it sucking the air intake just hope its not getting too much, if that is possible I guess the sound of the air intake is due to performance filter

Just be aware that some of the performance air filters dont have a very chunky rubber seal and can let air in causing the sound you describe. This can be rectified by sticking some draught excluder to the lid lip.

I actually replaced the air filter last week and didn't notice the rattle then, it's only since I've done the work today it can be heard about 1500 rpm between a very short range comes n goes, just sounds like a heat shield around the gearbox area very annoying
