Does anyone know the fault code for the amber warning light on a 1.8
Freelander 2002 model
Freelander 2002 model
But if I buy a reader it will only give me the code not the location or am I wrong I've never used one before
I've just ordered a code reader and will see how I go on cheers for the replyYes you would - first or second tells you which.
So if I get that code I would still not know if it's the one on the manifold or the middle exhaust
Thanks for that tooYes you will. It'll sensor 1 or 2 on bank 1. Sensor 1 is in the manifold, sensor 2 is after the cat.
Dont you have to download some sort of software with that?Got the mini ELM 327 today but there is no instructions
So do I just plug it in and pair with the phone ??
Thanks mate I will try it todayThe ELM device gets its power from the ODB socket - so you have to plug it in first for it "to wake up" and be seen by the phone.
They usually have a little LED on them to show they have power and are on.
You should then be able to "see" it in the Torque app and pair with it, even if the device can't communicate with the car's ECUs.
