I'm pretty sure we're being trolled now, but the manual does seem to specifically state that the engine will be immobilised whenever the alarm is armed, or the alarm enters Passive Immobilisation mode.

What that actually means is that the EDC/ECU will not be sent a mobilisation code to re-mobilise it.

So it is immobilised.
