Exmore trim rubber mat system

I have it fitted in my 300 tdi 90, it is really very good, the only soundproofing in the truck, easy enough to fit, the seats have to come out and you have to cut it to fit in places, round the handbrake and to get at the underseat compartments if required, Stanley knife and new blade is OK, I did it on my own, its heavy and awkward, but no big deal........mine leaks (don't they all?) and the matting catches it! I would never have carpet in a Defender.....
I would use it again.......
 
Don't waste your money.
I had it in a noisy 200tdi and whilst it does make a lot of difference and definitely looks good it's really not worth the money. Not for over £350 anyway. If you do go for it then you'll get a cracking bit of kit that's very hard wearing and does work to a certain extent but it definitely won't quieten it down as much as you hope.

100% agreed. I've got one also.
 
I appreciate what your saying .. but I must admit I do quite like the idea that it catches most of the water that leaks in..as said mine also leaks despite my best efforts. I also have carpet at present which is fine in summer but not in the winter when it spends most of the time gopping wet..

Fix the leaks? Just a thought. There's a common misconception that land rover leak but they don't have to and don't always.
 
I've fitted new door rubbers . Front vent seals and masticed numerous areas and still it gets in somewhere.. only thing I can do is remove all the trim so I can see where it get s in I guess .. not sure if I've got that much time to spare lol

I think they're well worth it for smartening up the interior
 
Its good stuff but if you have to take the seat box out and refit the mat will stretch mines now causing a issue for the doors to shut as the whole thing has really stretched

But it does look good when fitted ��
 
I've had one fitted to my 200tdi for just over a year, I don't know about wear because I've got mat on top of them.
It certainly reduced noise but I've since flashing taped all the rest of the exposed metalwork and that makes a big improvement too.
One thing to watch I floored the throttle and the pedàl didn't come up! The limiting spike on the back of the pedal had gone through the exmoor mat and stayed down!!
Luckily I was on a straight road so just switched off. For safety there is now a half inch hole around were the spike went in.
 
The mats good. You'll never win the war on noise. But I'm not shouting anymore. It's moee of a talking environment with it fitted. Still loud I'm general. But more bearable.
I think the money is good value assuming it's there for life. I think other systems can peel away etc. but this is all self supporting. So shouldn't happen!
 
Does it trap water under it .. during this heavy wind and rain we are having at the moment my floors are pretty wet..

Does look tidy though..
