Just bought my first Land Rover - a 2004 Defender 90 Hard Top. Now, I'm a total novice with engines and the like, but am keen to learn.
The issue: I've been trying to find out on the internet why my VIN has an engine number "5" rather than the usual "8" for a TD5... apparently it means it's "EU5 spec". I've tried to find out what this means in practice for me but not much luck... any help appreciated!
