Just picked up my water pump, waiting for me lift kit to turn up, prob do next week, along with the Brake pads, so I am up for a bit of mud sometime after tuesday hopfully. then I start to look for some 265/70/16 AT's did think about muds but, my AT's seem ok at mo, and I want to be able to do long runs as well - thinking about road noise there.

alternator fixed now, got a second hand one nice and cheap.
road noise on my muds is not to bad I was surprised how quiet they were.

Morning peeps, nice day today so might get me water pump replaced, depends on the kids, hopefully Edward will help.

Hope you not all going laning today, looks like a nice day for that as well.

Planning on checking the landy's handbrake. Was hoping to get the parts in from graytech but work got in the way. If they don't have the bits I will just have to leave it apart till next week. I think I have a fluid leak in the handbrake drum as it is always damp and oily around the join, and was low on fluid when I brought it.

Could be why the handbrake is crap.

I also have to take each wheel off and clean off all the mud and sand as I am also getting noises when I drive and the brakes have never been great.

Also might find out why the abs light stays on and the brake warning light stays on.

I might need new rear pads. I know the fronts are fine.

Well partial success today.

Stripped the handbrake cover off and it was very greasy in there. I had brought new shoes and an oil seal.

Trouble was I could not get all the springs off to remove the old shoes and the 30mm nut would not budge so I could not change the seal.

The pads were not very old so I just degreased it all and put all back. I have a handbrake for now anyway and will get a garage to change them before Christmas.

Also must have a brake fluid leak since the level was below minimum again. Was only topped to the max a few weeks ago.

Finally I checked the rear pads and they were completely flat so no wonder my brakes have not been great. Changed those as well.

Been a busy day.
