It'll get ripped off first pay & play.
Sticky on the bonnet or bolt to the air vent.

What a great day at Tyes farm, good seeing some faces and trying the Disco out after its engine woes... I would say it was a problem free day but unfortunately not, the fuel return line broke free and I lost 1/4 tank before I realised and then on the way home the alternator bearings went, it was smoking it was that bad! I got the AA to tow me back so no damage done, on a plus side the AA driver has a 300TDi Disco for sale, gearbox is gone but he wants scrap price for it so every cloud an all that...

Oh and thanks graham for the many recoverys today, those puddles are very deceptive lol

Yeah that was me, I see yah go past, there was nothing you could do anyway, it still runs and drives fine but the alternator was red hot, im not gonna risk losing the belt and the waterpump for the sake of waiting an hour for the AA.

Sounds like your vacum pump is naff or you have split the vacum hose, maybe the one way valve is stuck? Doesnt sound too bad to repair.
Both my wings are knackered really, i done them at sailsbury going too fast through water...

Is the valve in the servo end? I took the pipe off the pump end and i am getting a vacumm, just not sure how hard its supposed to suck :D

Was going to pick up a 2nd hand servo and master cylinder and chuck it on and cross my fingers.

you should get a fair bit of vacum from the pump. The valve should be in the hard plastic pipe somewhere along the line, it may not have one though so if its just a piece of pipe then don't worry. Make sure you check it for splits in the pipe and also where it fits onto the servo.

Worse case is the servo diaphragm has split, lets hope thats not the case though, still not too major though....

Numax although excellent the coca is misleading as its at 0degC whereas all at batteries are rated at minus 17 deg C or something like that!!

I like Numax tho very good value and o problems at all on a few years

Ow how many pages behind an I lol

Lol, just a few...

With that Numax battery the rating is MCA (marine cranking amps) hence the 0deg, it would prob be nearer 800CCA but even so its still good vfm

Well thats me all fixed for the weekend, gonna give the carpets a rinse as they resemble the puddle I parked in sunday right now, other than that im ready for the weekend...

"Carpets", I used a paint scrapper to scoop all the mud out & washed out with a bucket of water.:D

Ahh mine are all cut so the just come out, I then drive one side up on ramps and hose the inside out... its a disco so theres plenty of drainage holes in it lol

I have just about got MM working with up to date maps, my god this program is terrible, all I want to do is activate some maps, an hour in and I still cant do it. I got a license for 25,000 km2 but I cant get the program to buy the part of the map I want!! Frustrating is definitely the word!!

Edit - I think I have figured it now... Im gonna download most of the east anglia area and will have a look for any lanes...

Wanna sell it to me? Need to get a new one before my 3 door completely falls apart lol

It was my old alternator, not yours, they had different connections on them, only a spade but I was lazy so refitted my one lol

I haven't heard from the guy yet, I doubt it will happen, shame that as it could have been good...

Mine is packed and ready to go to Canada tomorrow along with the engine and box.

Thought Chris had one as he was replacing a load of parts a few months ago.
