I know that feeling,

I am still thinking about a long weekend, maybe 5 nights, North Wales to South Wales using as many Green Lanes as Possible, Wild Camping and living out the back of the Landy in September Time.

That's something i'd love to do, maybe not 5 nights though.

Would also like to take the Landy for its last trip to Salsbury Plains this month but I could not justify the cost of another weekend away from home this year.

I'm already booked to go to Germany in June with some mates.

I wasnt aware of a salisbury trip!
Mind you i dont have a truck to take lol
Brian can i commandeer youre passenger seat thursday or is it taken?

hi Stu, how you doing, why don't you come to salisbury with us, sounds like you need to get out.

Hope your well Geoff, I am ok mate, Things a bit shall we say tight to say the least, had major problems with pc's as well, but now got a tab with my new phone contract as a freebee, so can get on t'internet more now, other then work.

I would like to come with you but hey its all money. Patch is just about holding together as maint is now only being done when its needed, so would not like to give her a good knocking about....

On a good point I am looking for good job - not many about, but at least I am not dole scum, I got me health and my kids, and of course my mum loves me..... lol.

You would be welcome to come, I would only like to take a small group, of say 4 Landys, due to the wild camping, ie just pull up and sling up a tarp/small tent, and sleep next to them in the middle of no were, cooking on fires, carrying water navigating with GPS, without GPS, (the expedition way), and having everything we need in the Landys.

Amount of nights not sure of yet, but all it would cost is food and fuel. also would high light any issues with the kit, that's if i get it all sorted by then...as you know I want to do Morocco.

In the next month or so I'll start to look at a route, I want to spend as much time off the tarmac., I say sept cause it give s me time to hopefully save up for it.

Sounds very good, and of course September won't be too wet or cold.

Always fancied the idea of that, maybe Scotland would offer more remote locations to allow a few days without seeing Tarmac.

I would prefer to go to the highlands of scotland , but..... its the cost of the travel at the mo......... also six hrs plus driving each way.. not that the driving bothers me at all its a good day just getting there.

I have lost it a bit in the thread, whens the next laning evening and where abouts? I will try to stay out of the big holes this time...

Tomorrow night. :D
Meeting at mcd Braintree @ 20:00
Won't be a sillyoclock as I need to be home before midnight (or my disco turns into a rusty, misshapen lump of metal)

Was going to plan route this evening.
Any pref?
I think i have identifed most of the lanes in Essex and cross referenced against ECC TRO
I've also got passengers to help navigate.
