'arlow is luverly init.

open green spaces designed into the town from the start by fred gibberd with massive cycle/foot path network running thru it mostly away from main roads. the first pedestrian high street in the uk. has foleys based on the edge of town, phoenix at the other end.

spoiled slightly by the large ammount of chavidiots now living there.

isn't chelmsford loverly.

it has a cathedral.

i was born in 'arlow and went to grammer school in chelmsford moved back to 'arlow (via south america) but now live in chelmsford again and go to work via 'arlow office .. .. . . . ..
so is i posh or pikey? :)

as a good friend of mine says -
"harlow - 12 square miles of roundabouts with a few houses in between"

....the roundabouts really knacker one side of the front rubber on the motorsickle....

The only thing good about arlow is the roundabout when on a bike. Used to go round them 2/3 times before getting the right exit.;)
Got rid of before I ended up in a coffin.

memory map would be nice as i currently use tomtom with poi's for start and finish of lanes from here to milford haven (000's of points) and os-lite app to double check the byway status, intertube connect for tro checking.:blabla:

Only one real way of checking the TRO's and that's with the difinative map at the council, for example Pwoys Council publish a TRO list that about 18ths old and probably is not up to date....

The family are off Xmas shopping today. So unusually I have some free time.
Its not raining yet, so I think I'll tackle the sills, sand them back to metal (hopefully there is some), red oxide and then a few coats of black hammerite.

I wouldn't use hammerite as it'll crack and peel through the vibration.

A coat of industrial primer (red or grey) followed by a couple of coats of gravitex or similar will do wonders ;) Cavity wax inside and jobs, jobbed!

I would consider some wax oil type stone chip type of paint over the hammerite as well.

I'll order some in the week.
Perfect excuse for not getting covered in **** today.
You about today Matt?
If so do you have a rear light cluster (bumper) and if so what do you want for one?

thanks for the invite - hope i can make to meet up with you lot

i'm off to cotswolds for few days with missus and just been informed that she's doing 2 prison client visits (she be a solicitor type) on monday at hewel and leyhill over that way so looks like not back til monday night:doh:

just had phone call from a mate who's blown his auto box so thats tuesday gone picking it up from rgb (if he's got out for him ) and "helping" fit it.

think 250 is a bit steep for box but he's walking otherwise....

Its better then nowt, I see the date on it is August 4th 2011, so is quite up to date, you could just call and ask one question, has any changes been made.... simples.........

used to do that in days of yore before intertube got useful when i had v8 90 (still miss that juicy mutant) or go into county hall and pester them. never had much problem with that list tho.

righty-ho ...
off to cotswolds.

Wish mine show half full just for a minute........:D:D

Spent this morning removing a head with a guy on a 300 disco that had been run on diesel & cooking oil for the last few months.................... it all looked like a burnt sticky toffee pud! Gumming wasn't the word

He has sent parts off to be chemically cleaned then all being well, I'll give him a hand to put it back together.

Cooking oil is defiantly not good without pre-heating  :(

Few pictures from Sunday at Bures - Great day and very muddy in places. Front pads are non existent now and my rear bumper is shaped like a banana which means I cant open my rear door.:doh:

I was spared getting stuck, but the two guys I was with got stuck right at the end - I pulled one free while the massive truck they have got there freed the other one (see picture)
