me and Dan are going out to do a few lanes (the route will be worked out in advance)

I know alot of you will be working, thats ok --you can go and play in wales-- Ive got to work weekends.

Meeting point will be announced nearer the time (so we can get as many lanes in as possible)

inbox me if you can make it (just so we get an idea of numbers & names)

Thank you x

I'm soaking..... Just been outside moving all the steel indoors because it started raining.

Jon - You'll have to tell me when your stuff arrives and then I'll get you a pipe welded up.

yes stu you are not wrong there the lift is a headache as there is just sooo so much to take on board as well
yes if i lift it i will defo do the trailing arms and new brake lines
thats the issue the more u talk to ppl the more they advise you to somfin else
think it will be all terrafirma stuff in the end my be medium duty springs

yeah its a mine field,

I first did mine with a block kit using standard Shocks, they were ok, just lacked the articulation, used them until my Shocks went, realy a good cheep halfway house, I took the front and rear anti roll bars off, gave a little bit more articulation.

I then brought a Britpart 2" (its a 40mm kit) kit, with dislocation cones, all ok, there but would a like a bit more, so will be doing a 2" body lift some time shortly.

After seeing Chris's rear set up think that is the way I will go, ie +2" springs with +5" Shocks..... loads of articulation and use the Dislocation cones from Gwyn Lewis. Chall Spring Locator

As far as the radius arms goes yes you will change the geometry a bit, and the steering will be a bit vague, these can be done later. same with the trailing arms, unless you wearing out bushes.

Propshafts, I have not done these, and dont really notice much, the more you lift the more you will notice, it, and the more you will have problems,

best to see if you have a problem some people do some dont for some reason.

Reason I will be lifting the body next not doing a 4" is that it will keep the CoG as low as I can , also dont put any more stress on the radius/trailing arms. yes it does leave a gap between the body and bumper but hey easy filled.

Just see how it goes with the lift.
I had problems withthe back end skipping, sorted that with off centre bushes in the front.
Just found a hole in my front outrigger tonight. Told the wife I need a galv chassis (that went down well) Better get the welder out at the weekend.

Ooooooo A galv chassis hey??

I know a team of people who can swap one in a weekend ;)

You mean HOME PAGE

Top bloke, he is a member of our club :) The wheels on his fender are mental :D

Personally with just a 2" lift i would only do the brake lines and bump stops along with dislocation cones at the back. If you go more then go for the cranked arms etc.
Yes tusken the wheels are well nice and with a 35mm offset and in a 16x8 in black would look even better and there a good price as well
then just tyres required

Matty if the suff turns up this weekend i might try getting over u with a spare battery so can get the stuff bolted on least if the altornator is dead and not charing the bat i can jump it

Will have to see whats going on at the weekend. I am waiting for stainless and mild steel pipe to come into stock. Breather kits should be in stock by the end of the week all being well but I'd rather do it all at once so you're not backwards and forwards all the time.

had it running on the way back, got home and i couldnt hear it running, so i played with the switch, nothing....

not to mention i nearly lost my fingers as i forgot we hadnt taken the viscous out....

Ill have a butchers in the morning. apparently Mondeo fans should suck, not blow so ill have to reverse the terminals and see. Might just of blow a fuse. Again.

IF not, ill pick another one up from the breakers, and pop some rivnuts in the tabs this time rather than fiddle with those bolts.
