As he lives 10 minutes from me I guess your drive is safe.

I think Jon is handy with the spanners so I dont think we will be holding his hand too much. :)

Think I said 4 ropes originally but will take upto 5 in Orange preferable :)

Got myself a replacement hub finally so will be doing that tomorrow :D

Got a Brentwood club day on Sunday so will be there instead :(

That will get very expensive :D

You really need to know how to wield a spanner if you are going into Landrover Ownership ;)

or very quicly learn.... I used to have all my motors mainatained by a main dealer...:eek::eek::eek:

Even my Freelander was....

Then I got the disco to play off road , and lost my job and hey moneys not there anymore.......

Dirtnewbie Learn to do your repairs yourself oy you will soon be skint in landrover ownership.

Right guys I'll be there on Sunday just filled the rear diff up wit new oil and has quietened down a bit but if it breaks then I'll make use of my aa membership:D:D

Going to go in the shed and make some lift block now:)

OK I have to admit, I almost got one but thank god I didn't.
Put money on one but changed my mine at the last minuate.
God must have been looking after me, cos a few months later it was back in the showroom as the last people can't take anymore. Turns out it cost the showroom **** loads.:D

I did a proper Landrover course a few years back and the instructor there said a Freelander will **** past a Disco 3 or RR in the snow :D its just the rather crap ground clearance that lets them down. I think they make a good daily especially in the winter :)

I had mine from new for four years did over 150,000, miles in it the only time it went into the dealers was for servicing, the only time it let me down was when the battery died, during the last winter iI had it,

if you keep the lack of ground clearance in mind its not really an issue, yeah it was great in the snow, never got stuck, it towed the caravan well, yeah there are things that could be better on it like the boot space, or the fuel consumption, (but then a gain thats one thing that all Landys are great at....Drinking).

I would never buy a petrol one due to head gasket problems,

I would like to get one and really mod it up see what it could really do.

Best offroad mod you can do with a Freebie is a good recovery point on the front and nice strong rope attached, then hook it to back of your DEFENDER and tow it around the course, it will go everywhere you want it then ;)

well the new blue landy ES in on my drive and after Mat pulled the bumper of it and tore the toebar of the rear its starting to look like it could go off road

freelander 2s are in a different world compared to the freelander 1 quieter smoother more comfortable we have a customer come in with a v6 fl1 its basicly been rebuilt lol

but you cant beat a rangerover sport 06 onwards with dynamic response for handling hold the road like anything !!!

I wonder .... Petrol..... i think so....

Not many of us in here really care about roads........ more interested in what a Landy was really Built for originally. if you want to drive on roads then buy a road car.
