ok what if athe v8 had a gas conversion ? would that help or is it a dead horse and stop flogging

Put the tanks under and it 'may' affect your ground clearance. In the boot you lose a seat.
Try and make one of our evening trips.
I'll take you too Terling ford and you will want a TDi

ok big stu i get the pic the v8s aquaphobic ok there of the wish list
looks like its the 2.5 td then

Good choice, they can be made to be a bit more water friendly but its a pain to keep it that way....but it not guaranteed, also they are a pain to get running nice with out converting to electronic ignition..

Stu will do

Chris, Mikey and me went out last night for a couple of hours.

The Braintree hole is no more. :(

The council have done a good job of repairing it.

There was not much mud about and even Terling was only about 18" deep.

Deep enough to wash my wheels and chassis after Newbourne. :)

Speaking of Newbourne, I've just remembered I need another new mirror after my strop got caught in my wheel and ripped it off.

The annoying thing was I did not ever need a strop, did not even need diff lock as the ground was solid enough.

Was a great day though and I'm glad I went.

I also go home and found my power steering has stopped working. :(

Plenty of fluid in there and the belt is ok so it must need a replacement pump.

Another thing for the shopping list. It might have been the squeaking noise from the engine as it's quieter now.

Make sure the pump hasn't seized or you'll **** ya belt up too

Had a look at it when I got home to check the belt had not broken but all was well, the pulleys were all going round, power steering fluid bottle was full and no leaks from any pipes.

I will check in a minute, but there was a little squeak from one of the pully's since I got it so I presume it was the pump on the way out.

I hope that Chris has one on his old engine he will help me out with and I should be picking up a new mirror tomorrow for the princely sum of £10. :)

After 2 Discos with no mirror issues, loosing 2 in 1 month is a joke, so I will be very protective of the next one.

I met the Essex ROW at the Tendring show and they said that lane was due for repair.
TBH it was a bit nasty. I've avoided it ever since then I got stuck there for hours. At least it was repaired and not closed!

I only took a few photos yesterday (on our last time around).
