I have just spoke to my mate and he is happy to oblige.

He can accomodate 3 landy's, maybe 4 at a push if he moves one of his cars outside.

I sudgested maybe £10 each for use of the facilities including jacks and ramps. He has tools, and I am sure he could lend a few as long as he gets them back clean, but if you can bring your own all the better.

I usually bring my own tools, its so much easier.

Sunday is best as it will mean less inconvenience for the other residents, as most wont be there.

how is the 20th May for you?

i haven't read the rest of this thread yet... (i'm about to do that now), but i'm potentially interested in coming along to this, if that's OK!

I might have some minor jobs that need doing on my disco, but even if not, would it be possible to come along and just watch & learn etc...?

Right... to add to my previous post, as long as i'm not doing one of the other million things in my calendar for that day, I intend to come along, so here's an updated list!

Cut and paste the list as you add your name.

1. Big Stu
2. Discodad
3. Mathew
4. fishsponge
5.

I'm no expert, but there are a few jobs people say they'd like to get done this day that I've done myself and would happily help out with! I will also bring the following tools with me, just in case we run short during the day:

- 600mm breaker bar (1/2")
- tea bags
- 210nm torque wrench
- fresh milk
- various spanners, pliers, hammer, random tools
- water
- hydraulic bottle jack
- lunch (for myself only, i'm afraid)
- 3 tonne axle stands (in case we run out of ramps!)

Oh, and finally, the jobs i'd like to get done (in order of priority, depending on time/resources!):

1. Replace rear doughnut and diff pinion seal, if not done already.
2. Clean/drain fuel sedimenter
3. Find all breather pipes and check if blocked (if easily done!)
4. Adjust tappets

4. fishsponge
5. Co-Pang-Yang (possibly)

This is under the presumption that mine is running by then.

TBH I don't think I actually need a workshop to do any jobs as Im planning on fixing my handbrake this weekend so that its good enough to pass the MOT, if not I'll order the X-brake and could bring that along to fit.
My list is all simple stuff really:
Replace headlight
Replace indicators
Unblock washer jets
Fit stick on numberplate
Maybe fit arches if I haven't already

However if its still running badly (or not at all!) then I imagine Ill end up doing the work at my workshop anyway.

Right. Fitted the leak free steering box today. Not too bad to do!

Maintenance day.... I defiantly need the timing belt done. I'll need someone to guide me through it as I've never done one on a disco before. If we get that done then there is the diff oils and box oils to change then the fuel sedimenter to clean out.

If all that gets done then I'll be happy :D

I've got a whole stack of gear which I'll bring along with some biccys :)

Good news on your Steering box then , nice to hear.

But its a good time to get the group together......:D:D:D.......

Be good to see you there Chris even if it just for a cuppa, and hold our spanners, :D:D:D

Oh and it sounds like Matt would like your tyres to put in between the landys for the timing belt change:D:D:D

Other stuff thats missing from peoples list could include Drill bits and Portable lighting (for underneath the trucks) Ill add stuff if i think of anything....
