Ern Lake Jack

Was looking at some new rear tyres for my 109, thought I'd better check out the Jack that came with it, turns out to be an Ern Lake 4 Ton screw Jack, markings look like MOD, found some info on a vintage Jack website, it recommended they only be used for display purposes now as it's that old, so I'm retiring it. What Jacks are you all using, don't want to overspend on something unnecessary.

For home use a suitable trolley jack is the easiest. Under the diff on the short half shaft side or under the U bolts for the springs.

Remember you'll need to jack the axle, not the chassis to change the wheels. Unless you want to lift it high enough to full extend the suspension.

I have a discovery bottle jack behind the seat in my 90. At home I use a trolley jack.
I’ve heard the jacks out of sprinter vans are good on land rovers as they have a cradle for the axle to sit in.

Trolley jack at home and a Disco jack in the vehicle. The OEM LR jack has a very high lift which is what you need to get from a flat up to high enough to change the wheel

Exactly the same here, couple of trolley jacks for home usage and a oem LR bottle jack carried in the vehicle.
