Hi. Sorry if this has been covered before. Driving a 2012 Disco 4. Parking Brake Fault with the screeching when applying and disengaging the brake plus flashing P light on dash. Seems to be only be stuck on one side of rear only I think. Car not laboring/braking and seems ok to drive.
I’ve seen on a few videos on this but given I’m in a very remote part of Scotland, question is, if I release the Parking Brake with the cable under the cup holder will this allow me to drive it for now?
When stopping to avoid the same issue should I NOT put it in Park again? If not will the car move?
Any help would be appreciated. Garages where I am will charge a fortune and long waiting lists.
