Dead easy if you have a pro rivnuts tool.So not replaceable easily?

I suspect the hole is abit mullered, the bolt/rivnut spins so they get ripped out which can mean a new rivnut has little to grip to.
A couple of solutions spring to mind if it is butchered.
No.I guess might be able to re insert one by talking that panel to the left off and attaching one to a rod
Yes, it then gets crushed using the tool from outside, like a pop rivit but has a thread in it.Looks like I'm exposing my lack on knowledge of river nuts - never used one - you insert it from the front?

Google rivnut.
You can use a bolt/nut to set them but for that size(M10?) It would need to be an aluminium one possibly.
Aluminium would be fine there.
Further over to the left you have two more holding the steering column on(from memory) these must be steel.
I had to replace all of mine as the galv fecked them.
You can buy specific sizes. LINKYLooks like this will be my next order... Thanks for the advice. I'm assuming you just get a box of mixed sizes like rivets

That kit only does up to M8, best check the remaining bolt cos I think they are M10, if the bolt head is 17mm AF it'll be M10.Looks like this will be my next order... Thanks for the advice. I'm assuming you just get a box of mixed sizes like rivets

Are the rivnuts supplied aluminium? It doesn't say but I suspect they are. I've got a beast that does up to M12 in steel, air operated.Yes, if you want to do big ones, you need the next tool up the range. That one has proved adequate for my Landrover needs, though.
